We wanted to contribute to the clean-up of the Finnish berry industry, so we did some research on the subject.
In the autumn, we applied for business development support from the local Leader group to test a new business and the money was awarded.
With the support, we tested a new model for berry picking, where berries were purchased and collected directly from the pickers on site.
The total cost was €3,000, of which €1,290.00 was from the EU and the rest from the Finnish government.
We are very grateful for the support we received to make the project a reality.
The project was a great success and we will continue our purchasing activities in the future.
